AHB Dispatches: The Cuban Fisherman
In this issue, we bring you a poem by Jim Carson of Vancouver for our semi-regular feature, AHB Dispatches.
The Cuban Fisherman
The Sun rises in the east,
Only to set in the west.
And during those precious few seconds,
Between sunrise and sunset,
Between one’s birth and one’s death.
With virtue,
We experience love.
With luck,
We find laughter.
With compassion,
We understand serenity.
And with truth,
We discover ourselves.
It is only then,
That one’s life comes full circle.
And the journey lasts forever.
